The work includes the detailed account of the journey that the heir to the throne, Prince Carol, the future King Carol II, was forced to undertake in 1920 to forget the illegal marriage between him and Zizi Lambrino, nullified by King Ferdinand. General Găvănescu accompanied Carol and published a chronicle of this journey. The first volume maintains the handwritten signature of the author, while the second volume contains a facsimile signature.
