At the beginning of the book there are 9 manuscript pages, detached from the body of the book, containing "This book that includes the service of washing feet on Holy and Great Thursday, as well as the order of the consecration of the church with its typicon". The manuscript text is written in red and black ink, dated "September 5, 1851" in the Metropolitan of Moldavia, with a seal ex-libris, from 1850. The printed text represents "The order of the consecration of the church and the reception of heretics into the Eastern Orthodox Church, Chisinau, 1820", and has 2 unnumbered pages and 113 pages numbered in Cyrillic characters. On the verso of the second unnumbered page there is an engraving representing Saint John the Forerunner, signed "Ionita Io Vona". The text is framed by a border and measures 16×12 cm, with 25 lines in full page. It displays a frontispiece, initials and final vignettes, richly decorated with vegetal elements. On the last page, recto, there are some holographic notes with faded ink and almost illegible text. On the pastedown of the first cover there is a note in Romanian, with Latin characters, of ownership: "From my books Iconom Gr. Ionescu". The period binding, made of cardboard with a deteriorated leather spine. The block of the book, respectively the printed pages, are affected by the passage of time, the paper being stained by moisture.
