Nicolae Paulescu (1869-1931), a doctor and professor at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, who discovered insulin, was also one of the radicals of the antisemitic movement in Romania, a leading supporter of the Legionary Movement about which he wrote numerous praiseworthy texts. Inspired by Nazi ideology, he advocated the extermination of Jews based on ethnic and religious criteria in an extremely harsh manner. In 1922 and 1923, along with another radical disciple of antisemitism in Romania, Professor A.C. Cuza, Paulescu created the "Christian National Union" and the "Christian National Defence League", precursors to the Legionary Movement. His texts greatly contributed to the outline of what was the Holocaust in Romania. The present copy is part of the antisemitic literature published by Paulescu. It does not have its original covers and the spine is damaged.
