The small notebook contains numerous sketches, diary entries from the painter Samuel Mützner's stay in Venezuela, as well as documentation cards referring to classic artists. The pages of the notebook are vellum and the sketches and notes are made with blue and black pencil. The covers are missing. The notebook contains 17 pages with notes and 3 pages with sketches.
