The pure play of reflections, at the origin of the new series of works by Dana & Stéphane Maitec, recalls Borges' theory of "active aesthetics of prisms", which have the ability to impose new visions of the world, as opposed to the mimetic passivity of mirrors, which only reproduce the "objectivity of reality".
