Research information

Although he had visited Italy countless times, it was only in 1937 that Max Arnold painted Venice, when he was honouring Nicolae Iorga's invitation to visit Casa Romena. Arnold's "Venices" could be seen at that time as part of the "Italia văzută de pictori români" ("Italy as seen by Romanian Painters") exhibition, at the Toma Stelian Museum in 1946, as well as part of the artist's retrospective exhibition in 1947.

For clarifications regarding the bidding procedure, hammer price costs, guarantee, payment, and collection terms for the winning lot, we recommend carefully reading/re-reading the Bidding Regulations.
