The icon represents a vision of the Mother of God with the infant Christ, in a halo of clouds, surrounded by seraphs. The Mother of God is depicted standing, and the infant Jesus is riding a lamb or calf (symbol of Christ's sacrifice), holding a piece of bread (the Body) on the right and a flowering lily (the Lily) on the left. Above, the dove of the Holy Spirit sheds its divine light. The symbolic theme of the icon suggests the idea of incarnation and sacrifice, probably taken from Ukrainian engravings. Condition: missing right-hand lower corner.
