Stefanos Lanza (1861 - 1932) s-a născut in Atena, a fost fiul pictorului italian Vincezo Lanza, profesor la Şcoala de Arte Frumoase din Atena. În cadrul acestei şcoli a studiat cu tatăl său, unde, începând cu 1894, a devenit şi el profesor. Temele abordate, în ulei şi acuarelă, prezintă antice ruine.
