Atras toată viața de măiestria lui Ștefan Luchian, Șirato a încercat "să deslușească misterul tehnic și toată mecanica meseriei lui Luchian" în special în compozițiile dedicate florilor. Șirato va iniția unele experimente profund cromatice, în căutarea unei intensități coloristice a florilor, tipice strălucirilor și smălțuirilor specifice "florilor" lui Luchian, reușind să creeze câteva mici cicluri florale.
