On the verso of the icon we find the following inscription, written in Latin characters and black ink: "This Holy Icon belonged to my aunt Lady Smaranda of Mihai Sturza V[vd] from parents and ancestors, Prince Stefan Vogoridi and the Bishop of Vratza Sofronie".
