Centrally, on a green background, sprinkled with stars made of yellow, the scene of the Crucifixion is depicted, according to the compositional scheme established in Byzantine art. The cross with crucified Jesus is placed at the center of the composition, symmetrically, on either side of the Cross are represented standing, in a deep state of sorrow, the Mother of God and Saint John the Evangelist. At the base of the Cross, there is a character who is embracing it. (M.B.).
