Gravura ilustrează una dintre victoriile obținute de trupele ruse comandate de feldmareșalul prinț Galliczin în fața trupelor otomane în timpul războiului ruso-turc dintre 1768 și 1774 încheiat prin Tratatul de la Kuciuk-Kainargi. Lucrarea era publicată de către gravorul Daniel Chodowiecki (1726-1801) la Berlin în 1769.
