The photograph captures Queen Maria during the period when she was the heir to the throne, at the Cotroceni Palace, the Bucharest residence of the princely couple. The copy is autographed by her in black ink. In the bottom right corner is embossed the mark of Mandy, the Bucharest photographer. The photograph is framed in a period frame made of pyrographed and manually colored wood.
