Engineer Anghel Saligny designed and organized the construction of the Cernavoda Bridge, which was inaugurated in 1895 in the presence of the royal family and the government. In this way, Dobrogea was fully connected to the country. The event of the bridge's construction was immortalized, among others, by the photographer Franz Duschek Jr., who took over his father's photography studio in Bucharest after 1884. Thus, the highly artistic and documentary work of Franz Duschek Sr. was carried on by his son. The photograph stands out by the way the photographer was able to use perspective to enhance the construction. In the upper left corner, a group of onlookers can be seen looking towards where the photographer had set up his camera. The photographer's ex-libris is embossed in the lower right corner. The piece is in very good state of conservation.
