Representative of the modernist era, in the spirit of which he manifested himself and "a colourist of a different kind", as collector Zambaccian described him in his writings, artist Ciucurencu will be the creator of a work inclined towards intensity. Beginning after the First World War and lasting until the end of 1977, the artist's creation will be devoted to a luminous vision, alongside synthesis, analysis and construction. Whether we speak of landscapes, static nature paintings, portraits, social theme or flowers compositions, with the severe reduction of external details, the artist pays great attention to the material form, hence reality becoming one of his starting points, a direct reference point. Captured in close proximity to his reality, floral compositions will often be among the subjects of his work. Treated "alla prima", in advanced brush plays, along with pictorial syntheses and colour enhancements, his compositions would witness an admirable modern creative evolution, where the vividness and brightness of the palette prevail.
