oil on cardboard, 58 x 75 cm, 58 × 75 cm, signed bottom right, with black, "Schweitzer-Cumpăna"

The space in which the artist Schweitzer-Cumpăna shall most freely and daringly develop shall be, beyond doubt, the peasant space as the result of his exploration is an authentic iconography of the Romanian village. He will keep contact with nature, looking for the meaningful detail, along with a vivid chromatic, with the help of which a transfigured, ample and sustainable, much more concrete than reality world will be created. At tillage, taking care of the household, celebrating or chatting, the heroes of his works are depicted in the vicinity of everyday life from which one can distinguish dramas, social conflicts, the turmoil of life and the struggle for prosperity.
