The copy is part of the famous edition, chronologically speaking, of the national poet's work, edited by Titu Maiorescu, the leader of Junimea of which Eminescu was a member. Titu Maiorescu rescued the poet's scattered manuscripts and published this edition at the Socec publishing house in Bucharest, which opened a long road of critical reception of Eminescu's work. The literary critic Șerban Cioculescu purchased the copy and added it to his bibliophile collection and on the last blank page at the end he wrote a holograph testimony, dated and signed, about the volume. Pages 83, 84, 85, 86, 97, 98, 145, 146, 307 are missing. They were replaced by the collector with pages on which he written the lacking parts. The copy contains Eminescu's portrait in the form of a heliogravure and the preface published by Titu Maiorescu. The binding is covered in velvet with cardboard.
