The Romanian National Council of Transylvania coordinated the actions that led to the resolution adopted by the Great National Assembly of Alba Iulia on December 1, 1918 to unite Transylvania with Romania. During the organization of this assembly, the representatives of the Transylvanian Romanians were working to neutralize Hungarian propaganda and Hungarian anti-unionist actions, as this document proves. The manifesto was signed on behalf of the Romanian National Council by its president, Aurel Vlad.
