Fotografiile fac parte din colecția fostului ministru de externe George Macovescu și au reprezentat exemplare de protocol. Vizita oficială la Roma a lui Nicolae Ceaușescu a avut loc în mai 1973 iar delegația românească a fost primită cu toate onorurile.
