Protestatari față de ceea ce se contura a fi o putere reprezentată de Ion Iliescu și simpatizanți ai partidelor istorice, s-au manifestat încă din ianuarie 1990. Tânărul din cele două imagini a atras atenția ziariștilor prin insolitul protestului său. La rândul lui, s-a lăsat dezinvolt fotografiat și filmat.
