Luptele pentru cucerirea portului sovietic Odessa au fost deosebit de dure iar armata română, care deținea comandamentul acestui front, a avut pierderi grele. Imaginile au surprins orașul devastat de bombardamente, secvențe din viața cotidiană a locuitorilor marcați de război, echipamentul militar abandonat de sovietici în timpul retragerii.
