În 1989, chiar înaintea căderii zidului Berlinului, distileria Pradlo localizată în afara oraşului Plzen producea un whisky single malt în adevăratul spirit scoţian. Făcut din orz cultivat local, distilatul a fost apoi transferat în butoaie de stejar 100% din Cehia. A rămas acolo timp de 20 de ani până când compania Stock Plzen-Bozov a verificat produsul şi a decis să îl imbutelieze.
