In front of conventional architecture, Virgin Mary’s parents, with their suite, entrust the child to the High Priest, in the manner specific for the post-Brâncovenesc ambience in 18th century Transylvania. The title designating the scene is written in Cyrillic letters, in Romanian, "Vovede[i]a". (M.B.)
