In his rich scholar activity, the Enlightenment personality Eufrosin Poteca (1786-1858) translated this classic work by the German legal adviser and scholar Heineccius, who was part of the Central European Enlightenment, much closer in its conservative character to the Balkan one and more different from the Western one. The work is one of the first philosophy textbooks to appear in Romanian and was published in Buda in Cyrillic characters in 1829 by the author, who personally took care of its printing. The copy has been restored and the title page has been redone.
