In August 1928 Liviu Rebreanu began writing the novel "Crăișorul", published in 1929. It would be reissued in 1930, 1940, 1942 and 1944. For this novel, the writer received the National Prize for prose.
Contains the author's dedication to Dr. Lazarescu and his ex-libris.
