Gellu Naum (1915-2001) a inițiat în 1945, alături de Paul Păun și Virgil Teodorescu, Colecția suprarealistă, importantă serie a literaturii noi. Atras de suprarealism în timpul studiilor pariziene, autorul s-a impus destul de repede și pe plan internațional. Volumul, tipărit în doar 300 de exemplare, atrage atenția colecționarilor și istoricilor literari.
