Piesa este realizată din bronz, aplicată pe o placă de lemn închisă în pergamoid, decorată cu scena nașterii lui Isus. Ansamblul a fost comandat în 1892 la Paris. În partea inferioară se află recipientul în care se păstra aghiasma.
