Cele două recipiente pentru cerneală sunt dispuse simetric pe un suport tip tăviță care le susține. Capacele sunt decorate fiecare cu câte o cruce, ceea ce ne permite să presupunem că au făcut parte din inventarul unei instituții ecleziastice. Pe partea superioară a lor se află inscripțiile: pe unul S. Chrismov" și "Catechumenorum" pe celălalt."
