The picturesque world of Berceni neighbourhood is illustrated by Comănescu through various processes since 2000, through which he manages to capture the living essence of life in Bucharest. He does not shy away from bringing to light the most frivolous and pathetic expression, swearing, which soothes the human soul and helps it overcome the hardships of post-December life. Revolt and resignation are both embodied in the mythical character of Comănescu, an alter ego of the artist, who does not hesitate to express his dissatisfaction with his own condition. Conflict and the desire to escape are essential, they inspire and shape the great accumulation of ideas and feelings transcribed on paper, which seem to say in unison "I have to go...".
