oil on canvas, 80 x 80 cm, 80 × 80 cm, signed and dated bottom right, with green, "MAVRODIN, (19)74"

With challenging traits towards time and perfection, Mavrodin's painting is moving in its evolution towards spiritual consonances, together with philosophical meanings and questions. He began his studies at the School of Fine Arts in Bucharest (1953 - 1957), then attended the Institute of Fine Arts "Nicolae Grigorescu" (1957 - 1963), where his teacher was Corneliu Baba. During his studies he attended the Țuculescu house for a period (from 1955, about four years). He will carry out a prolific exhibition activity, holding solo and group exhibitions in Romania, France, Italy and Sweden, as well as numerous international exhibitions (Painting exhibition at Cagnes sur Mer, 1969; 35th Venice International Biennale, 1970; Brussels International Glass Exhibition, 1974; 20th Quadrennial of Art, Rome, 1977, etc.).
