Holding the revelation of the Romanian landscape, of the homeland, the artist Viorel Mărginean remains a believer in nature’s beauties. Known for his Subcarpathian panoramas, the painter recomposes the landscape in his own schemes, reworking it with an orderliness reminding of folk motifs. At Sighișoara, Banat, Tulcea, Muscel, Bucovina, Filipeștii de Pădure, Maramureș, his wandering places, the artist assigns new meaning to the Romanian landscape, creating solid connections between popular art and the surrounding nature.
