Gheorghe (sometimes George) Costaforu (1820-1876) was one of the founders of the modern judicial system. One of the first Romanian students in the West, he obtained his Law degree at the Sorbonne. Upon returning to his country, he was appointed professor at the National College of St. Sava, then as a professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Bucharest, of which he was the first rector. The copy does not keep the original cover, it was replaced.
