The term "Romaniae" refers to the territory of the former Roman Empire. The map includes Muntenia, Moldova, Bessarabia, Dobrogea, and a small part of the Danube region. The upper left part is embellished with a large, beautifully decorated cartouche that includes the title of the piece. Copper engraving.
