Philipp Clüver (1580-1622) was a German geographer and historian, considered to be one of the pioneers of modern German cartography. His main work, "Introduction to the Geographic Universe", printed in six parts, some published posthumously, enjoyed great success in its time, being reissued. This copy is part of an edition from the end of the 18th century.
