Elena Lupescu accompanied King Carol II in exile after he abdicated the throne. In May 1930, both of them, accompanied by a few loyalists, were in France, at the castle of Coësmes in Brittany. This is where the meeting between King Carol and the emissaries of Iuliu Maniu and other representatives of the opposition in Romania was planned to take place in May 1930. The meeting was designed to perfect the plan for the king's return to the country and his ascension to the throne. The king's close associates participated in the meeting, among them Puiu Dumitrescu, his secretary, also mentioned in this letter. The letter contains personal information, it is written in blue ink on vellum paper, it is signed and dated, and at the end it includes the mention "A.S.R. sends greetings".
