Obverse legend: IC - XC Obverse description: Christ Pantocrator represented in bust, frontal, wearing a pearl-decorated crucigerous halo, dressed in a tunic and colobium. Blesses with his right hand, and in his left hand holds the Gospels. Reverse legend: +MIX-AHΛ-RACIA O Δ Reverse description: Legend arranged in a semicircle on the edge, at the top. In the center, the frontal bust of the emperor, wearing a cruciger stemma with prependulia, divitision, and loros. In his right hand, he holds a scepter surmounted by a labarum, and in his left hand, a cruciger globe. It is a historical document with particular historical value, illustrative for the eighth decade of the 11th century when the Byzantine Empire is affected by significant territorial losses, which are reflected in the economy and the monetary capacity of the state. Also, it is an illustrative piece for the decline of the monetary system that led to Alexios I Comnenus's monetary reform in 1092.
