Decoraţia bogată ce acoperă caseta transformă piesa din obiect utilitar în obiect cu valenţe precumpănitor decorative. Forma sa aminteşte de casetoanele italiene din perioada secolului al XVIII-lea, în special prin decorația cu putti ronde-bosse, volute floral-vegetale, suita de ove şi numeroasele casete de pe corp şi capac emailate cu motive florale. Interiorul este capitonat cu catifea verde.
