Flautistul din Hamelin, misteriosul personaj din basmul lui de Charles Perrault, reuşeşte să alunge toţi şoarecii din orăşel. Îmbrăcat în costum medieval, cântând la flautul pe care este aşezat un şoricel, vrăjitorul este aşezat pe un postamentul circular, ajurat, ce are aplicat un scut heraldic în care se înscrie litera H şi este susţinut de patru şoricei.
