The German-born cartographer Herman Moll (?-1732) published in London in 1715, where he settled, became noted and was recognised, the first edition of his famous work "Description of the World", which went through several editions. This piece is part of the second edition published in 1721 and contains a splendid description of Hungary and Transylvania. Engraving on copper, manually coloured after imprinting.
