128. "Lower Course of the Danube" Map, by Nicolaes Visscher, Amsterdam, cca. 1700

The map includes the lower course of the Danube, from Belgrade to the Black Sea, with the territories crossed by the river to the north and south. The work was made by the Dutch engraver and cartographer Nicolaes Visscher the son (1649-1702) who continued the work started by his namesake father. Hand-colored copper engraving after printing.
