The medal presents on the obverse the left-facing bust of King Carol I and the legend, in exergue: "CAROL I KING OF ROMANIA". On the reverse is modeled the personification of Justice, a female character, seated on a throne, with a sword in her right hand (a symbol of the safeguarding laws) and an open volume on which is engraved a torch and on which reads the legend: "NIHIL SINE DEO", and under the volume, a book with the inscription: "LEX".
Circular, in the upper part, appears the legend: "INAUGURATION OF THE JUSTICE PALACE IN BUCHAREST", and straight, at the bottom: "XV OCT. MDCCCXCV".
