The document was issued by the Ministry of Finance of the Principality of Moldova and gave navigation rights under the flag of the principality to the respective vessel. The patent is drafted bilingual, in Romanian and French, bears the historical crest of Moldova at the top center and at the bottom the stamp of the issuing ministry. On the back there is a renewal of this authorization from August 1863, signed by the prefect of Braila County and stamped with the apostille of that prefecture.
