The item is part of the "Modern Atlas or collection of maps on all parts of the terrestrial globe by several authors.", published in Paris in the year 1770. Rigobert Bonne (October 6, 1727 – September 2, 1794) was a French cartographer, widely considered one of the most important cartographers of the late 18th century. Although he largely focused on coastal regions, Bonne's work is highly appreciated for its details, historical significance, and general aesthetic appeal.
