Obverse: +MONE ALEXANDRI; inner circle the coat of arms of Moldova: ox head having between horns a star with five rays, with the odd ray up, flanked on the heraldic right by a rose with five petals and on the left by a half-moon. Reverse: +WD MOLDAVIENSIS; pearled inner circle: vertically split shield; in the first field three beams, in the second field five lily flowers; the shield is topped by an ox head; to the left of the shield a seal; external pearled circle. The reign of Alexandru the Good stood out through stability, peace and development in all domains. He continued the process of unification of the country, starting with the population and exploitation of the Pruto-Nistrene region, and strongly boosted the economy, by granting the first commercial privilege in Moldova (offered to the people of Lvov). As a skilled diplomat, he managed to counter the expansion intentions of Poland and Hungary, foreseen in the Treaty of Lublau (1412), and Moldova participated for the first time in international meetings (The Negotiations of Lutsk in 1429). Alexandru the Good resolved the conflict with the Patriarchate of Constantinople, ensuring the autonomy of the Metropolitan of Moldova and recognizing the canonicity of Metropolitan Iosif.
