The Dutch cartographer and editor Abraham Ortelius (1527-1598) included this map of the Ottoman Empire in his famous work "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum". In the bottom right corner, there is a very ornate cartouche shaped like the stern of a ship, supported by mythological figures, and which includes the title of the map.
