"The Order for Merit" represents one of the most important decorations of the Federal Republic of Germany. The distinction, in the Grand Officer grade with Star, belonged to the former Foreign Minister George Macovescu (1972-1978). The main piece, the insignia and the rosette are made from gilded silver and enamel and are kept in the original box.
