Finding his aspiration in both the terrestrial and the aerial, sculptor Ovidiu Maitec will construct his creation starting from the direct realism of the image, evolving further towards a constructivism of the symbol. Alongside realism and constructivism, his creation will join the archaic and dynamism, represented by the artist through symbols and archetypal forms. Sensitive to the affective potential of matter, to its vital tone, the sculptor will reveal the hidden beauty of stone and wood. By carefully studying nature, the artist will vigorously and skilfully create new, static things in which we glimpse the initial states of matter. Inspired by nature and archaic space, the repertoire of his work will focus on themes such as the theme of flight or the theme of the gate, illustrated by the artist in works such as: "Pasăre albastră" ("Blue bird"), "Poartă cu semn" ("Gate with sign"), "Pasăre" ("Bird"), "Coloană" ("Column"), "Radar" ("Radar"), "Stâlp" ("Pillar"), "Tron" ("Throne"), "Bancă" ("Bench"), "Poartă (Omagiu)" ("Gate (Homage)"), "Victorie- Poartă" ("Victory- Gate"), "Eroica" ("Heroic"), "Cavalerul" ("Knight"), "Stâlp cu aripi" ("Pillar with wings") and so on.
