Discreet, solemn and full of meaning, Piliuță's work is a continuation of the great tradition of national lyricism, which he will approach with a lively élan. In easel painting, the artist will be distinguished by a rich repertoire - from still lifes to landscapes, nudes, flowers, compositions with characters or animals - reflecting in turn stylized realities, outlined in the area of an interpreted figurative. Possessing a confident, focused drawing, the artist will construct a world composed of familiar fragments, demonstrating a reliable intuition about the meanings of modest subjects. He will show a predilection for the everyday, for the common appearance of things, for natural gestures and attitudes, looking for the spontaneous lyrical vibration, which he will essentialize through economies of means intended for suggestion.
