Piliuță's work sums up portraits, still life, landscapes or gender scenes. He is not particularly concerned with introducing novelty in his painting, but instead he is interested in rendering his own reality and vision of the world, by using means as simple as possible. He trusts both his drawing abilities, as well as his pictorial manner, which he always combines harmoniously. The current work gathers some of the recurring motifs in the artist's creation. His passion for vegetable motifs can be noticed even since his youth, when he thoroughly studied a theme, which was actually considered commonplace. The flowers in Piliuță 's works appears as decoratively synthesised, and successfully metamorphosed alongside the human motif. An advocate of the figurative, the artist depicts expressive symbols in most of his canvases. Celestial motifs merge with religious ones, and human silhouettes placed alongside vegetable shapes complete the compositional symmetry imagined by the creator.
