Jesus Christ is depicted frontally on a background decorated with slightly embossed vegetal motifs in silver leaf, shown just below the waist, blessing with His right hand and holding the Gospel open with His left (Mark 35:25). He wears a red chiton and a light blue himation. Face made with features characteristic of Ruthenian icons. On the broad frame are painted in incised medallions the 12 apostles, six on the left and six on the right side, on the upper frame the two Archangels, Michael and Gabriel, appear in incised medallions. The general colour scheme is light blue, cinnabar and ochre.
